CEO’s Message for International Women’s Day 2025

As we approach International Women’s Day 2025, I find myself reflecting and being proud of the remarkable women who form the bedrock of AMC Commercial Cleaning. Today, in a male dominated facilities and cleaning industry, we are a network of women entrepreneurs, leaders, and dedicated professionals. A driving force behind countless successful operations, demonstrating day in and day out, that leadership knows no gender when it comes to cleaning. This year’s theme resonates deeply with our company’s ethos: a commitment to progress, empowerment, and unwavering support for the women who drive our success.

This year, we have picked the AMC top seven women of the year among a number of high performing women within AMC. These women are those who have broken barriers of language, culture, ethnicity, race, gender, age to be who they are. Each of them manage the service operations of over $300K worth of our customer portfolio, which they have nurtured and grown over the last 4 years or more.

#IWD2025 is a moment to celebrate the achievements of women worldwide and to recommit to the work that still needs to be done. We at AMC, are committed to marching forward, together, towards a future where every woman has the opportunity to reach her full potential.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day, “March Forward: For ALL Women and Girls”, calls for action that can unlock equal rights, power and opportunities for all and a future where no one is left behind. Central to this vision is empowering the next generation – youth, particularly young women and adolescent girls – as catalysts for lasting change”. – IWD UN Women Australia

Having joined the family's facilities management business in 2007, Kristie rose from the ranks of AMC Commercial Cleaning Pty Ltd – from Telesales to Business Development and then on to the challenge as General Manager tasked with the turnaround of AMC South Australia in 2012. On the back of a successful performance of growth, Kristie became COO in 2015 and CEO in 2018. Under her leadership the business has grown in double digits year-on-year across Australia and New Zealand and in 2022, made its entry into the United States and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Today, Kristie heads the over $100m commercial cleaning business, giving leadership to over 2500 colleagues devoted to meticulous cleaning and care to provide inspiring work environments every day. Kristie holds the honour of ambassador for Childhood Cancer Research, given by the Children's Cancer Institute of Australia in 2023.
